How Kyphoplasty Enhances Quality of Life for Pain Sufferers in Glendale, NY

Living with spinal fractures or chronic back pain can severely impact your quality of life. At NY Spine Medicine, we specialize in kyphoplasty procedures that can provide significant pain relief and improve your overall well-being. If you’re in Glendale, NY, and dealing with these debilitating conditions, our kyphoplasty treatment might be the solution you’ve been seeking.

Immediate Pain Relief

One of the most compelling benefits of kyphoplasty is the immediate pain relief many patients experience. This procedure involves injecting a special cement into the fractured vertebra, stabilizing it and alleviating pain. Whether you’re suffering from spinal fractures or chronic back pain, kyphoplasty can offer a swift and effective solution. Many patients in Queens have reported significant improvements shortly after their procedure at NY Spine Medicine.

Restores Mobility and Function

Chronic back pain and spinal fractures can make everyday activities challenging. Kyphoplasty can help restore your mobility and overall function, allowing you to return to your normal activities. By stabilizing the spine, this treatment reduces pain and improves your ability to move freely. Our kyphoplasty specialists in Glendale, NY, have seen countless patients regain their independence and enjoy a more active lifestyle post-procedure.

Minimally Invasive Procedure

Kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure, which means it involves less risk and a shorter recovery time compared to traditional surgery. The procedure is typically performed on an outpatient basis, allowing you to go home the same day. At NY Spine Medicine, our experienced team ensures that your kyphoplasty treatment is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. This is particularly beneficial for older patients or those with underlying health conditions in Queens.

Long-Lasting Results

Patients often worry about the longevity of their treatment. The good news is that kyphoplasty provides long-lasting pain relief and spinal stability. This procedure not only addresses the immediate issue but also helps prevent future fractures. By choosing kyphoplasty for spinal fractures, you can enjoy sustained relief and improved quality of life. Our patients in Glendale, NY, have benefited from the enduring results provided by our kyphoplasty procedures.

Have a question?

The land comprising present-day Glendale was originally named Fresh Pond, a swampy area that was part of a 74,000-acre (30,000 ha) area collectively called Newtown. The town of Newtown had been chartered to the Reverend Francis Doughty by the Dutch West India Company in 1642. In turn, Fresh Pond was originally named for two freshwater ponds that, in the early 1900s, were filled in.

In 1847, New York State’s Rural Cemetery Act ended the creation of any new cemeteries in Manhattan. Cemetery owners were encouraged to build in Brooklyn and Queens. Glendale quickly became almost encircled by cemeteries being located in what is called the “Cemetery Belt”.

In 1860, developer George C. Schott was given a large amount of land in Fresh Pond as repayment for a debt. Schott renamed Fresh Pond after his native Glendale, Ohio. Nine years later, John C. Schooley, a real estate agent, bought a substantial amount of property and also called it Glendale. Schooley laid out streets and divided his property into 469 lots, measuring 25 by 100 feet (7.6 m × 30.5 m), which he then sold off for $300 each. In 1869, a railroad stop at 73rd Street (then named Wyckoff Avenue) was opened by the South Side Railroad, which was sold in 1874 to the North Side Railroad, which then was merged into the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) in 1876, becoming part of the Montauk Branch. In 1927, the station burned down and was never replaced.
